About ADHD Coaching
-
Coaching is...
- A collaboration between coach and client.
- A non-judgmental conversation...
- ...with someone who has a deep understanding of your unique brain wiring.
- Focused on mastery and action, but a chance to process your emotions, too.
- A place to come up with new strategies and make tough decisions.
- An opportunity to learn to work better with the brain you have.
-
Coaching is not...
- ...therapy. It's not about healing or "fixing" you; we're aiming for mastery of your own brain, and taking action to get to where you want to be.
- ...instruction. You won't be told what to do; we'll work together to come up with solutions that work for you (rather than the ones you've been told should work, but don't).
- ...psychiatry. I can't diagnose you with ADHD, autism, or anything else. However, I can signpost you to the various avenues for diagnosis if you wish.
How I work
...and how I can help
I am based in London, UK, but I love working with clients from all over the world.

Adult 1:1 Coaching
50 Minutes
50-minute one-to-one coaching sessions are a chance to better understand your brain, to develop strategies that really work for you, and to think through how to create a more fulfilling life, working with instead of against your unique brain wiring.
50-minute sessions give us plenty of time to think through problems, to explore what sparks your interest and dopamine, and to talk through your ideas. You will bring a topic that feels particularly present for you to each session as a starting point for each session.
We will usually work together biweekly, or sometimes weekly, for an initial period of 12 sessions before reviewing our progress. For some people, this is enough, but you can continue for as long as you find our work helpful. We will review regularly throughout our work together to ensure you're getting the most out of the process.

About Me
I'm Emma Winston (or sometimes Emma A Winston, if you prefer), and I think our brains are wonderful. Yours too. Really.
I have ADHD, ASD, and a PhD. I've always found the hard things easy and the easy things hard. But I've harnessed my brain to do a lot of brilliant things. You can too. Let's figure it out together.
Before I was a coach, I worked in tech, academia, and as an artist and touring musician - so if you're a creative or geeky type, we'll probably have a lot in common!
I am an ACCG and ACC-certified ADHD coach, working towards PCC-level certification. I trained in advanced coaching at ADDCA, one of only a few ICF-accredited ADHD coach trainings in the world, where I still receive regular supervision and mentoring to make sure I can give you the best coaching experience possible.
Affiliations
I am a member of the International Coaching Federation, holding an ACC-level credential, and abide by the ICF's Code of Ethics. I am ACCG-certified by my training organisation ADDCA (their most advanced level of internal certification). I am working towards the ICF's PCC-level credential.
